Marianne Dorothy Kelly

Marianne was born January 10, 1930, the only daughter of the late Helen and Charles Hildreth Trotter of Miami, Florida. After graduating from St. Theresa High School, Coral Gables, Florida, she worked for Eastern Airlines until 1954, when she met and married Joseph Henry Kelly, her devoted husband of 60 years. She volunteered tirelessly for her various parishes and children’s Catholic schools for more than twenty years. She spent her retirement needlepointing, reading, cooking and enjoying her grandchildren.

Her parents and her brother, Tarlton A. Trotter of Miami, Florida, predeceased her. She leaves loving memories for her brothers, Thomas E. Trotter and Charles S. Trotter; son, Kevin G. Kelly and daughter-in-law, Mrs. Shannon B. Kelly; daughter, Nancy K. Leahy; daughter, Diane K. Cavazos and son-in-law, Dr. Daniel R. Cavazos; daughter, Karen A. Ryan and son-in-law, Mr. Kevin C. Ryan; and eighteen grandchildren.

Friends and relatives are invited and may call Nelsen Funeral Home, 3785 Strawberry Plains Rd., Williamsburg, on Monday, April 13, from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at St. Bede Catholic Church, 3686 Ironbound Rd., Williamsburg, VA 23188, on Tuesday, April 14, at 11:00 am.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial donation may be made to Veritas Preparatory School, 275 McLaws Circle, Williamsburg, VA 23185.
