Patricia Frances Combs

Patricia Francis Combs, 75, of Williamsburg, Virginia, passed away peacefully on Christmas Day, her favorite day of the year. Born April 9, 1950, in Goffstown, New Hampshire, Patricia moved to Hampton Roads during her high school years and made it her lifelong home.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Tillman Paulk and Francis (Davis) Paulk; her brother, James “Jimmy” Paulk; and her beloved husband, Charles “Mickey” Combs. Patricia is survived by her son, Brian Combs, and daughter-in-law, Marcy Combs; her niece, Dallas (Paulk) Martin; and her nephew, Dalton Paulk. Also her three great nephews Kayson, Kayden, and Easton.

Patricia dedicated 29 years of service as a Staff Assistant to the Newport News Fire Department, where she was admired for her professionalism and kindness. She was a devoted member of Grace Covenant Presbyterian Church, where her faith and fellowship enriched the lives of many.

Her passions included knitting, baking, watching movies, giving thoughtful gifts, caring for her pets, and most of all, spending time with friends. Patricia’s warmth and generosity touched everyone who knew her.

A visitation will be held on December 31, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Nelsen Funeral Home, followed by a graveside service at 12:30 p.m. at Williamsburg Memorial Park. Friends and family are invited to join for a time of fellowship and refreshments at Grace Covenant Presbyterian Church at 1:30 p.m. to celebrate Patricia’s life.
