Patricia Ann (Kenny) Sullivan, of Williamsburg, VA, was reunited with the love of her life on January 26, 2023. Her beloved husband of 61 years, Thomas James Sullivan, died in December of 2021 and Pat has been looking forward to seeing him again in heaven ever since.
Pat was born in Brooklyn, NY on March 16, 1938, but Flatlands could not keep her. After marrying Tom in 1960, they moved around – Texas, Illinois, Wisconsin, New Jersey, and Virginia – picking up lifelong friends at every stop of the journey. After raising five children, Pat decided to go back to school, earning her nursing degree. But five kids and working as an RN was apparently not keeping her busy enough, so she and Tom added a sixth child to the mix in 1979.
Being a friend to Pat meant knowing her for life. She loved fiercely and completely and thrived in social settings. She is remembered for her witty humor and kind laugh. Her greatest gift was an astounding ability to meet a stranger and within 5 minutes, learn enough to recite their life story.
Her loved ones will remember her every time they see blooming orchids, as they were her favorite. They will forever laugh about the time she mistakenly boarded a west-bound train in France, leaving her husband waving to her, confused, as he prepared to board their booked east-bound train (don’t worry, they found each other eventually). Few things brought her more joy than her daily episode of Judge Judy, a full pour of Chardonnay, or a cup of broccoli cheddar soup. They’ll carry on her love for dessert by never saying no to chocolate cake. And ABBA will forever be a beautiful reminder of her stunning life.
Pat was preceded in death by her husband, Tom and daughter, Mary. She is survived by three sons, Thomas, Brian and Sean and two daughters, Eileen and Megan. She was a grandmother 18 times over, a great-grandmother to one, and a beloved aunt to sixteen nieces and nephews who will all miss her dearly.
Funeral services for Pat will be held on Wednesday, February 1, 2023 at 10:00 am at St. Olaf Parish in Williamsburg. Reception After Funeral open to all friends and family from 11:30 AM – 1:00 PM, Multi-purpose Room at the Arbors (4th floor), 101 Roscoe Crossing, Williamsburg, VA 23188.
