Asher’s Imhotep Pierre ‘Teppi’ : Thank you Penny for my  best friend, protector and the best hiking and travel companion!!

I met Penny because I was in search of a conscientious breeder of standard poodles. Because of her and her beloved poodles, I gained a loving member to my family whom brings me endless joy. He turned 11 in March. She let me, a perfect stranger she knew only through email correspondence, and my sister come down and meet her, Penny, and the pups when they were 4 weeks old and again on the gotcha day at 8 weeks. She was so sweet, kind and gracious to us, and I admired her passion for her poodles. Over several years we would continue occasional correspondence via email. She would send me Christmas cards and I would send her emails with pictures of my boy so she could see his progress. A couple times I sent her gifts with local flavor from where he lived with me. She sent me emails with news and pictures that let me know of his litter mates. The last one in 2018 told me of her having been ill around the time of her last litter…then,  the emails stopped… I didn’t get any answers to the ones I sent, the Asher page went down.  I have sent out prayers for her since. I am so saddened to see this, but so happy to have met her, and so grateful for the gift of my boy. Rest in peace Penny, and thank you!!

We had great, unforgettable times over the years with our dogs and club functions. As you rejoin Billy and your babies over the Rainbow Bridge, thanks for the memories, my friend.  We miss you already.  --  Barb Foley

I knew Penny from Merrimac Dog Training Club and it was Penny that got me involved with Tidelands Poodle Club and Belroi Agility Club. She was the sweetest person I think I’ve ever met!! Always in the kitchen at Merrimac functions and letting me walk one of her poodles in Merrimac’s parade when I was dog-less. She will be missed by many, many people. Run free with your fur babies, Penny.

My deceased husband, jim  Dunn, worked with Penny for many years at Hampton City Schools. She was so kind, caring and thoughtful during their time together. Their mutual love for animals was delightful to hear about - her poodles our dachshunds .

Penny was a wonderful person.  I attended many events at Merrimac and she was usually found in the kitchen with a smiling face while helping to prepare delicious treats for workers.

I've known Penny for many years from the Merrimac Dog Training Club. Penny loved volunteering at the club's kitchen preparing lunches for the judges and all the volunteers.  We've  walked in many  Christmas parades with the dogs. I loved making her laugh and enjoyed all our conversations. Penny will be missed by

Sad to know you aren't here any longer. We traveled together so many times showing our dogs and having a lot of laughs. So glad to have had many of your pups. Miss you. Sweet dreams my friend. Linda

Penny was a wonderful person. As a member of the Merrimac club we shared our love for dogs . She will be truly missed. Sending prayers to her family.

Tony and I want to send our thoughts and prayers to the family. Penny and I were active on the board of MDTC and in events and working with our dogs. We also enjoyed therapy dogs. Penny was very special to so many and touched many with her kindness. She will be truly missed.
