He graduated from Mathew Whaley School, and then worked for Colonial Williamsburg as the Distribution Supervisor of Museum Films. He loved square dancing, crochet, reading, and music. Ray was also a member of Olive Branch Christian Church.
Ray is survived by his son, Stephen Martin (Julie Martin), and sister, Jeannette Jones.
