

Born July 9, 1944, he was the son of Fred and Mary Beaver. He is predeceased by both his parents; two sisters, Lucy and Mary; his foster parents, Helen and Tony Buczek; and his foster sister, Sophie Rae.
For 24 years, Raymond proudly served his country with the U.S. Navy. He achieved the rank of Chief working as a hospital corpsman, earning several good conduct medals, including a medal from Vietnam. Following his naval career, he worked as a landscaper. He also enjoyed woodworking, gardening, hunting and fishing, golf, art, and drawing.
Raymond will be missed by his beloved wife of 57 years, Carol “June” Beaver; his son, Robert Beaver and wife Pam; his daughter, Mary Shockley and partner Scott Rutan; his brother, William Beaver; his grandchildren, Shayla Beaver, Carol Shockley, Rebekah Beaver, and Caleb Beaver; his great-grandchildren, Cali and Serenity; and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will take place at Nelsen Funeral Home, 3785 Strawberry Plains Rd., Williamsburg on Tuesday, January 11, 2022, with visitation beginning at 10:00 AM and a service following at 11:00 AM. All who plan on attending should dress casually.
