Robert Martin Wall, 78, of Naples, Florida, and Williamsburg, Virginia, passed away January 26, 2023. He is preceded in death by his parents Richard and Doris Wall; and brother, Richard Wall, II. Bob was born in Middletown, Connecticut in 1944. In 1967 he married Diane, his wife of over 55 years. Bob was a first-generation college graduate from Central Connecticut State University with a bachelor’s degree in marketing. He retired from Galderma Laboratories after a long career in pharmaceutical sales. Throughout his life, Bob enjoyed going to the beach, taking Caribbean cruises, reading the newspaper, playing poker and spending the holidays with his family and friends. Bob was very proud of his son, Greg, a graduate from Tufts University and Wake Forest Law School, and partner at Hunton Andrews Kurth LLP. Bob was always present for Greg, whether it was cheering him on at his sporting events, listening to him play the piano or taking him on family vacations to warm destinations. Bob was particularly fond of his beloved granddaughters, Lilly, Madison and Emma. He traveled with them to Connecticut, Maine, Florida, the Outer Banks and the Caribbean. He had a magic touch for making them smile and laugh whether it was playing dolls, participating in hours of Old Maid tournaments, making slime, reading or telling stories. Lilly, Madison and Emma cherished their time with their Pop Pop and made many wonderful memories living down the street from him for half the year in Williamsburg, Virginia. The remaining half of the year, Bob lived in Florida, soaking up the Naples sun with his wife, Diane. He had a wonderful group of friends in Pelican Marsh and would often meet up at the pool and talk to neighbors on his morning walks with his faithful English Cocker Spaniel, Rosie. Bob will always be remembered for his warm smile, big heart, great sense of humor and strong bonds with his family and friends. Survivors include his wife, Diane Wall; son, Greg Wall and daughter-in-law, Jennifer Page Wall; granddaughters, Lilly, Madison and Emma Wall; and his faithful dog, Rosie Wall. Donations in Bob’s memory may be made to The Meriden Humane Society, 311 Murdock Ave., Meriden, CT 06450 (www.meridenhumanesociety.com).
