Rodney Gerald Linnekin

Rodney was a metallurgist for Siemens VDO Automotive until his retirement. His first love was sailing, but he also enjoyed biking, traveling, and photography. Most of all, he loved spending time with his grandkids. He was a kind, gentle soul, who always looked forward to spending time with his coffee buddies at the Sipping Flea in Norge.

He was also a member and deacon of Grace Covenant Presbyterian Church, where he was a supporter of the church’s Mercy and Missions program.

Rodney is survived by his wife, Mary Lou Linnekin; sons, Ryan Linnekin (Amber) and Erik Linnekin (Ashley); grandchildren, Natalie, Eli, Addison, Watkins, and Emmy Lou; as well as many cousins.

A service will be held at 2:00pm on September 7, 2024 at Grace Covenant Presbyterian Church, 1677 Jamestown Rd, Williamsburg, VA 23185.

In lieu of flowers, please make donations in Rodney's memory to the Mercy Fund or the Missions Fund at Grace Covenant Presbyterian Church.
