He served in the Korean War with the United States Army. After earning his four year degree from Ohio University, Roger worked in the marketing department of Upjohn Pharmaceutical. A history lover, he enjoyed volunteering at Colonial Williamsburg for 25 years. He was also a member of Williamsburg Presbyterian and was fond of both woodworking and traveling.
Roger is survived by his wife, M. Heidy Cunningham; his sons, Mark D. (Mary Beth) and David S.; and his grandchildren, Alex (Dani), Chloe (Nick) Mansourimoaied, and Katie; and his great-grandchildren, Sadie, Remi, and Leo. He is also survived by his sister, Carol Suplee.
