Born April 12, 1936, in Chicago, IL, he graduated from Northern Illinois University, earning his degree in marketing. After starting his career at Bausch & Lomb in 1960, he went on to Ohaus Corporation from 1974 to 1976 before owning The Scale People, Inc. from 1976 to 2003.
Ronald enjoyed golf, working around the yard, gardening, his investments, traveling, and politics. He was a member of both the United Methodist Church and the Scale Dealers Association. Time spent with his family made him happiest.
He will be missed by his wife, Carolyn Buck; sons, Craig Buck and Chris Buck; daughters, Ronnie Daumit and Allison Buck; grandchildren, Rebecca Sturtz, Harmony Kirk, Travis Motz, Amanda Beard, Carolyn Buck, Kyrsten Irby, Carson Buck, Brian Buck, Lucia Buck, Liam Buck, Jacob Buck and Grayson Buck.
Visitation will take place on Friday, May 30 from 4:00 to 6:00 PM at Nelsen Funeral Home, 3785 Strawberry Plains Rd., Williamsburg, where services will also be held on Sunday, June 1 at 10:00 AM.
