Ruth Waters Berry

Ruth Waters Berry, beloved wife of the late Robert Edwin Berry, left this life on August 2, 2016. She was the daughter of Eugene and Eloise Clagett Waters, and was born in 1923 in Germantown, Montgomery County Maryland. She graduated from the College of William and Mary in 1945 and loved Williamsburg so much that she decided to remain here, where she worked for Colonial Williamsburg as an historic interpreter until her retirement. During her time with Colonial Williamsburg, she was honored to escort numerous dignitaries, including former President Reagan, on tours of the historic area. She is survived by sons, Robert Michael Berry and Mark Edwin Berry (spouse, Martha Berry); daughter, Susan Waters Berry (spouse, Pablo Nuesch); and grandsons, Jonathan Tyler Berry and Edwin (Wynn) Berry.
