She was born on May 6, 1970 in San Juan, PR. She received her college degree from Mary Baldwin College, Staunton, VA, and was happily married for ten years to Dale A. Griffith. Vanessa was an avid writer and artist and was very spiritual, loving and kind.
She was preceded in death by her two children, Faith and Grayson.
Vanessa is survived by her husband, Dale A. Griffith; her mother, Maria Lane-Sherman and her husband Robert W. Sherman, Jr.; and her father, Fred H. Lane.
A service to celebrate her life will be held at 2pm on Saturday, July 12, at Second Presbyterian Church, 214 Mountain Avenue, SW, Roanoke, VA 24016.
