

Born in Pennsylvania, Doug made Virginia his home for most of his life. He built a life and a family in the Williamsburg area, where he became a well-known figure in the community through his business, Doug’s Heating and Cooling. His dedication to his work was only matched by the joy he brought to those around him. Doug had an infectious laugh, a kind heart, and a spirit that touched everyone who knew him.
Doug is survived by his loving wife, Sandra Ross; his daughters, Jennifer Bowden (and husband Ryan) and Ashley Christopher (and husband Jared); and his cherished grandchildren: Knox, Waylon, Greyson, Finn, and Lilly. He also leaves behind his brother, Dan Ross (wife Valerie), and his nephews, all of whom he held close to his heart.
He is preceded in death by his father, Daniel Ross; his mother, Brenda Ross; and his brother, Kirk Ross.
A celebration of Doug’s life will be held at Nelsen Funeral Home, 3785 Strawberry Plains Rd., Williamsburg on Saturday, June 7th at 11:00 AM. Family and friends are invited to gather and honor a life well lived and deeply loved.
Doug’s legacy lives on in the warmth of his family and the countless memories shared by those who were lucky enough to know him.
