Following military service, he continued his professional career in service to his country as a civilian with DOD at Fort Eustis where he served until retirement. He enjoyed woodworking and do-it-yourself projects and made many things for his wife, children and grandchildren. Being with family was his greatest love and the joy of his life.
His favorite memories included trips to the Tides Inn and the Outer Banks. Our Dad/Grandee was a treasure. He had a gentle heart and the strength of a bear. His faith, his kindness and the love he poured into our beautiful Mom/Grandmommy are forever a part of us - rooted in our hearts and guiding us always. He was one of a kind. Thank you Daddy.
