Ann Marie (Hardesty) Scholten’s life is hard to describe in only a few short paragraphs. You see, Annie didn’t just have a life, she lived it. She took full advantage of everything in it. She loved deeply, she sang with passion, she forgave quickly and most importantly she knew that all things were possible through Christ. Annie stood up for what she believed in and never backed down. Even as a young girl Annie was fearless and confident. She never met a stage she didn’t want to sing on or a situation she was afraid to address. She knew what she wanted and would work hard and tirelessly to get it. When Annie and Darrell were set up on a date, it was love at first dance. Annie was always certain that Darrell was the one, and within a year they were married. Annie and Darrell made a home within Williamston, MI and decided to raise their boys in this community that is full of love and support. Annie was an active member of the “Hornets Mom’s Club”, played and lead in the Williamston Free Methodist Church Band, was a church board member, lead a church small group and worked at MSU Law School. Most importantly, she was the mom to three boys that always knew they were loved unconditionally. She made her battle not only for her life but for everyone around her. While she courageously battled cancer for a second time, she developed a mission to battle for people’s souls for the Kingdom of Heaven as well. On Wednesday, June 29th, 2016 we lost an amazing woman, wife, mother, daughter, sister, friend and so much more. Her mission will remain alive in her husband, sons, family and friends. The mission to see her again in Heaven if we accept Christ as our true Savior.
