Carl Leroy Franks, 79, passed away on Thursday, December 24, 2020 in Lansing, Michigan. He was born in Leroy Township on July 9, 1941 to Glen and Virien (Tucker) Franks, and grew up in the Fowlerville area as one of 11 children.
Generous and big-hearted, Carl could often be found mowing lawns for anyone in the community. He was a lifelong hard worker, first at Oldsmobile and then in running his own landscaping business. He gave the best hugs and would sweep you off your feet with his dancing.
He was preceded in death by his parents and eight siblings.
Carl will be lovingly remembered by his beloved partner of many years, Jan Litchfield; his children, Laureen (Dan) Tunningley, David (Kathy) Franks, and Larry Franks; stepchildren, Kristin (Joe) Mahoney, Scott Litchfield, Patti (Brian) Norton, Nick (Kelly) Johnson; 10 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.
No services will be held at this time.
