Longtime resident of Webberville and Williamston, David was an active participant in many charitable organizations. Most notably, he loved the Lion's Club and volunteering as a ticket taker at MSU football games.
David is survived by his daughter, Katie Jason, his ex-wife Jackie Jason, sister-in-law Barb Jason, nieces Janice (Toby) Monforton, Debbie Baker, great nieces and nephews Paige and Jack Monforton, Julia and Mark Baker and special friend Dianne Gorsline.
He was preceded by his parents, Wayland and Hildegard Jason, and his brother Larry Jason.
David was a proud graduate of Central Michigan and equally proud of his service as a paymaster during the Vietnam War.
David had a long and prosperous career at Michigan National Bank; but he never lost his admiration for the "Jason Farm" he was raised on.
Always humble, he did not want a long obituary; so we have not detailed his numerous contributions. Mostly, he is remembered as a man who loved his family, his extended family and his friends.
You may celebrate his wonderful life with visitation on Tuesday from 2-4pm and 6-8pm at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Home, 205 E. Middle St., Williamston. A Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday at 11:30am at St. Mary Catholic Church, 157 High St., with Rev. Mark Rutherford officiating. You may also visit with the family one hour prior to the funeral mass.
Those desiring to make charitable contributions to honor David should consider the Williamston Food Bank, 201 School St., or St. Mary’s Church.
The family is being served by Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes Williamston Chapel.
