Donald Schultz, the son of the late Stanley and Macy (Hagerman) Schultz, was born March 7, 1939 in Aurora, IL and passed away on December 1, 2014 at age 75.
Donald graduated with his BA from MSU in 1963 where he played football all four years. That same year, he married his sweetheart, the late Jean Gordon. He taught in Benton Harbor and Webberville and coached many sports, like softball and football. In fact he was known by all for his love and amazing skill of men’s fast pitch softball, he truly loved being on the pitcher’s mound. Donald is preceded in death by his wife Jean, brother Dale Schultz and parents. He is survived by children Todd (Debbie) Schultz, Donna Schultz Mahaney, and Brett Schultz, grandchildren Samantha, Dylan, Sarah Schultz, Luke and Joey Mahaney, sister Marlene Dunn, and many nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held Saturday December 6, 2014 at the Williamston Free Methodist Church, 4400 N. Williamston Rd, Williamston, at 3pm, with Rev. Doug Bradshaw of Williamston Free Methodist Church officiating. The family will be receiving friends from 1pm-3pm at the church.
