Donna Jean Hile

Donna Jean (Betcher) Hile of Williamston, Michigan passed away on Sunday January 22, 2023 at the age of 89 at St. Lawrence Hospital, Lansing Michigan. Donna was born on June 9, 1933 in Bunker Hill, Michigan. Donna was a 1951 Mason, Michigan Graduate and Cheerleader. In her early 20's, Donna worked for Consumers Energy. Donna married her Husband Leroy Hile (3 Branch Military Man) also from Mason, on December 31, 1962 In Jackson, Michigan. After raising her young sons, Donna went to College in her Early 40's to get a Degree and made the Dean’s List. She loved Bowling for 20 years with her husband on Leagues. Donna was active with her sons in Cub Scouts (pack 742) and Boy Scouts (Troop 143) in the early 1970's. Donna was a very religious person. Donna was the 5th child of 7. She is preceded in death by her Husband LeRoy Hile , siblings, E.J. (Phyllis Rice) Betcher, Ken (Rhea) Betcher, Richard (Doris Rice) Betcher, Joyce (Norman) Rector, parents: Ena and Anthony Betcher. Donna's parents took in over 30 Foster Children in addition to their own. She was taught the Importance of family and religion. Surviving are her sons, Derick Hile from Williamston and Alan (Jodie) Hile from Perry; sister Melody (Colin) Curtis of Commerce, Tx, brother, Robert (Mearl) Betcher of Columbus, Georgia; grandchildren, Marc (Janelle) Hile from Owosso, Courtnee (Arriana) Hile from Perry, Joseph Hile from Perry; great -grand children Gabriel Hile from Perry, Lillian Hile, Adelynn Hile from Owosso; brother- In- Law, Vernon Elliot from Dansville and sister- in- law, Eleanor Elliot Brownell in Washington D.C. Visitation will be from 12pm to 2 pm, followed by Services at 2 pm on January 28, 2023 at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Home, 205 E. Middle St., Williamston, Michigan. Contributions may be made to family. Donna will be Cremated and interred at Summit Cemetery, Williamston, Michigan, next to her Husband LeRoy Hile.
