Frances Fran J. Shaffer Onweller

Frances Shaffer Onweller, 88, of Williamston, Michigan passed away Saturday, December 14, 2013. Frances was born to the late Howard and Myrtle Shaffer on November 21, 1925 in Hudson Michigan. Frances married the late William Onweller on September 28, 1947. They moved to Williamston with their family in 1964. Fran spent nineteen years as a middle school secretary at the Williamston Public schools where many friends were made in both staff and students. Fran was a member of the United Methodist Church in Williamston, and served as a trustee for the Williamston Senior Center. Fran was preceded in death by her son, Brian David Onweller and great-grandson Cody Joblonski. Surviving to cherish her memory are sons, Bruce (Carol) Onweller, and Brad (Barbette) Onweller; daughter-in-law, Terri Wolf; grandchildren: Jennifer (Kenneth) Sumler,Kristy (Marc) Joblonski, Shane (Katie) Onweller, Kari Onweller and Donald Onweller. Also surviving are six great-grandchildren, and many loving relatives.

A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, December 17, 2013 at 2:00 PM at the Summit Cemetery Williamston, Michigan. For those desiring, memorial contributions may be made to Williamston United Methodist Church, S Putnam Street, Williamston MI 48895
