Geraldine Lucinda Hodgson went to Heaven to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on April 14 at the age of 98. She was born May 30, 1919 to John and Lucinda Waldecker in Dearborn. She grew up in South Lyon, MI and graduated from South Lyon High School in 1938. She was a homemaker, mother and the manager of the Griswold Clinic in South Lyon.
Geraldine was a very loving and caring person who was always helping others, and those people never forgot her. Her hobbies were gardening, reading, playing games and traveling. She especially loved spending time with her family. Geraldine was married to Clyde J. Hodgson on June 14, 1939 in Plymouth, MI. He preceded her in death. They had 3 children, Dianne Steiner of Lansing, MI; David Hodgson (Debra) of Fremont, CA; and Karen Jensen of LaMoille, IL; 7 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren,10 great-great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews and extended family.
Geraldine was preceded in death by her parents, brother Frank Waldecker, sisters Norma Fallot, Elizabeth Scheel and Esther Travis. She was a former member of St. Johns Evangelical Lutheran Church, Northfield Twp., Ann Arbor, and a current member of Memorial Evangelical Lutheran Church, Williamston, MI.
Visitation is at Gorsline Runciman Chapel in Williamston, Tuesday, April 24, from 3-7. Services will be Wednesday, April 25 at 11 a.m.at Memorial Lutheran Church in Williamston with visitation one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Memorial Lutheran Church, 1021 W. Grand River, Williamston or ECHRS, 530 Beech St., Charlotte, MI 48813.
