

Geraldine L. Shook was born on February 19, 1930 in Mt. Morris, Michigan. On November 26, 1947, she married Ralph Roy Shuck of Kokomo. Indiana. In 1958, Gerry, Ralph and family moved to Williamston, Michigan and quickly became an integral part of many community activities. They joined the Williamston United Methodist Church, where Gerry taught a variety of Sunday school classes for all ages, organized and directed Vacation Bible School and Bible Time Marketplace, directed the Sunbeam Choir, and sang in the Chancel Choir, chaired the Education department, and served on many different committees for the church. Gerry was active with her two daughters as a Brownie leader, Girl Scout leader, director of day camps, and neighborhood chairman for the Girl Scouts in the community. She was also a Den leader for her two sons, committee member of the Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts, merit badge counselor, and driving force for many Eagles in the community. She organized many summer camps for one to two hundred Boys and Girls Scouts together as well as many Scout fundraisers with Ralph’s help to offset the cost for some scouts that could not afford to go to camp. She was active as a volunteer with the Williamston 100 Year Centennial, which later became the Red Cedar Jubilee where she continued to volunteer. She was involved is starting a summer program for youth softball and baseball teams in the community. Gerry worked for the Williamston Schools as a bus driver and a cook for over 25 years. Gerry is survived by her husband Ralph of 68 years; children, Brenda (John) Ludwig, Kathleen Crandall, Ricky (Linda) Shuck, Steven (Pam) Shuck; 23 Grandchildren, Derek(Kelli) Ludwig, Drew (Khushali) Ludwig, Trent (Lisa) Ludwig, Kristin (David) Hamlin, Kory Crandall, Karrin (Woody) Fennell, Kyleen (Colin) Janetzke, Reggie (Jessica) Shuck, Bradley Shuck, Daniel Shuck, Kelsey Shuck, Jen (Lee) Powers and Jeremy (Ashley) Shuck; 23 Great Grandchildren, Alexa, Bailey, Nick, Dawson, Carter, Jessa, Annabel, Parker, Peyton, Kaitlin, Clare Amanda, Lindsey, Judah, Evelyn, Theresa, Jane, Gabriel, Page, Kian, Addilyn, Elizabeth, Charlotte and Catherine (due in April); sister M. Beverly (Glen) Lee; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents Alfred and Violet Roulston; sisters Violet G.P. Roulston, Jesse M.B. Stinnett, Alfreda “Kay” Edgell and Elaine Kramer and son-in- law Kris Crandall. Visitation will be on Thursday, February 11, 2016 from 2-4 and 6-8p.m. at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, Williamston Chapel, 205 E. Middle St., Williamston, MI. Funeral Service will be Friday, February 12, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at the Williamston United Methodist Church, 211 S. Putnam St., Williamston, Mi., with visitation one hour prior to service.
