John Blake Teague of Webberville, Michigan passed away December 5, 2018 in Lansing, Michigan after a brief battle with cancer.
John was born on February 23, 1926, to Tody and Ovelia Teague in Weakley County, Tennessee. At the young age of 17, John enlisted in the US Navy and proudly served in WWII, and was stationed in the South Pacific. He was a man who worked very hard to provide for his family.
After retirement John moved back to his home town of Dresden, TN to care for his parents, and upon their passing John returned back to the Webberville Community.
John deeply “Loved His Family” and will be missed by all.
John was preceded in death by his parents, Tody and Ovelia; two brothers, Lloyd and Arvelle; sister, Laverne; and great grandchild, Cayden.
He will be dearly missed by his children, Rick Teague, Norma Teague, Chuck (Laura) Teague, Melody (James) King, Patty (Howard) Travis, Cindy Coe, Amie (Bruce) Wilson, John (Angie) Teague, Marie (Mike) Tinker, and Gary (Amy) Teague; twenty-two grandchildren; 36 great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; numerous step-grandchildren and great grandchildren; special nephew, Larry (Mary)Myrick; and niece Brenda Sullivan.
Please join the family for a time of remembrance Sunday December 9, 2018 from 3-6pm at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes Williamston Chapel, 205 E. Middle St. The funeral service will be Monday December 10 at 12pm at the funeral home.
