Katherine M. Van Streain

Katherine Mary Van Streain was born March 13, 1961 to Norman and Denise (Kalosis) Weakland, and passed away suddenly May 20, 2014 at age 53. Katherine was a graduate of Grand Valley State University and received her master’s in business from MSU. She was a Physical Therapist and in her spare time enjoyed volunteering for Meals on Wheels. Katherine was a very passionate member of Lansing Potter’s Guild. She is survived by her loving husband of 27 years Frederic Van Streain, daughter Lauren E. and son Taylor A. Van Streain, her parents, brothers Mike (Teresa) Weakland, Capt. Norm Weakland; USN, sister Cindy (Mike) Larson, grandmother Terese Kalosis, nieces Abi and Megan Weakland, and nephews Matt Larson and Nolan Weakland

The memorial service will be held Saturday May 24, 2014 at 11am at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Home, 205 E. Middle St., Williamston, MI 48895, with visitation one hour prior. Officiating the service will be The Rev. Dick Preston. Contributions may be made in memory of Katherine to Lansing Potters Guild, PO Box 965, East Lansing, MI 48826, or Meals on Wheels, 5303 S. Cedar St., Lansing, MI 48911.
