Larry John Panozzo Jr.

Larry John Jr. Panozzo, 69, born on August 21, 1948 in Detroit, MI, went home to be with our Lord and Savior on February 5, 2018. Larry resided in Williamston with his wife, Mary Margaret (Barager) Panozzo. They were married on January 12, 1985.

Larry grew up in Highland Park, MI. Upon graduation from high school he joined the Army and later the National Guard. After returning from the Army, he became a Detroit Police Officer. He relocated his family during the early 1970’s and became a Police Officer in Williamston, MI. He retired as Sergeant from the Williamston Police Department in 1999, severing for twenty six years on the force. He worked alongside Officer Lady for four of those years as they retired together. Larry started the Police and Kids program and partnered with Williamston Public Schools in 1993. Those of you who knew Larry, also know that he did not go anywhere without Officer Lady, as she was his companion at work and home until she passed away. During his retirement he started and then later sold an ammunition business and enjoyed being up north in Elk Rapids, MI. with Mary and their dogs.

He is preceded in death by his father; John Panozzo, mother; Sally (Westin) Panozzo, and sister; Dorothy (Pallman) Phillips.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Margaret (Barager) Panozzo, daughters; Pam Panozzo-Jones (Dennis), Tami Panozzo, sisters; Janie (Phillips) Sullivan (Richard), Carol (Panozzo) Cogswell, grandchildren; Savanna (Weaver) Peters, Sabrina Weaver, Cassondra Jones, and Collin Jones, great grandchild; Teagan Peters and many nieces and nephews.

Larry holds a special place in our hearts and we will hold tight to the memories until we meet again.
