Mary Louise Schuchaskie, born August 9th 1945 in Portsmouth, CT, died August 16th 2016 after a short illness. Mary was a resident of Williamston for 44 years. She was a member of the Williamston Free Methodist Church and was a devoted Christian who dedicated herself to Jesus Christ and loved her church family. Mary was an avid gardener, who lived for her flowers, hummingbirds, bees and deer. Mary worked for Michigan Secretary of State for 20 years and loved working with the public. She was an accomplished seamstress and homemaker; raising three children while maintaining a career.
Mary leaves behind her husband and best friend of 53 years, Mike Schuchaskie. Also surviving Mary are sons, Mike Schuchaskie Jr., Eric (Janice) Schuchaskie; daughter, Amy Ellsworth; parents, Lavon and Harold Corser; five brothers and sisters, Ernie (Caroline), Donna (Mark), Darleen (Steve), Harold, Susie (Allen); grandchildren, Alexis, Benjamin, Kegan, Gavin, Chase, Cameron, Dustin; sisters and brothers-in-law,Russ (Cheryl), Patty (Sid), Jackie (Dan), Billy (Dale) and Ara. Also left to cherish Mary’s memories are many nephews, nieces and cousins. In lieu of flowers please make donations to the Williamston Free Methodist Church, 4400 N. Williamston Rd., Williamston, MI 48895.
The memorial service will be Saturday August 20th, 2016 at 10am at Williamston Free Methodist Church, with the Rev. Douglas Bradshaw officiating. The family will be receiving friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
