Robert (Bob) Harry Moore , born January 19, 1964 to Bob and Doris Moore of Haslett, passed away unexpectedly on May 25, 2018 at age 54 at his home near Williamston. Bob is survived by his parents, his wife of 29 years, Linda (Hetzer) Moore, three sisters: Gerry Moore of Eaton Rapids, Cherry (Mike) Hackworth of Lansing, and Deb (Vern) Gibbs of Mason; four nephews: Will Wing, Fred Wing, Vern Gibbs III, and Eric Gibbs; two nieces: Nicole Dunn and Terri Hackworth; as well as many in-laws, neighbors, friends, and business associates. He also leaves behind his fur babies, Whiskers and Harley.
Bob and Linda were high school sweethearts who started dating at the ripe old age of fifteen. Bob spent a lifetime building his beautiful home. He loved his yard, Linda’s animals, bomb fires, snowmobiling, canoeing, camping, vacations and spending time with family and friends. He was a very hard working man, especially when it came to his business, Moore’s Trucking, which he owned and operated from the ground up.
Even though they had no children, so many youngsters thought of him as “Uncle Bob.” He opened his door to anyone who needed anything and helped in any way he could. That is how he got the nickname “Brother Bob.” Everyone was either a brother or sister to him.
Visitation is scheduled from 2-4pm and 6-8pm on Thursday at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Home in Williamston. The memorial service is Friday at 11am at First Baptist Church, 3185 N Williamston Rd, Williamston, with a graveside service to follow at Summit Cemetery. Those wishing may make a contribution to Bob’s wife to assist with funeral expenses.
