Born July 20, 1942 in Webberville, MI, to Albert and Virginia (Risch) Dorn; died June 9, 2012 in Lansing, MI, at the age of 69.
Robert was retired from GM after 30 years of service as an assembly worker. He was a member of Memorial Lutheran Church of Williamston. A joy to him was his walking at the Meridian Mall with his Monday morning walking group.
He was preceded in death of his brother, Richard Dorn. Robert is survived by three daughters: Kari (Tom) Farhat of Williamston, Jamie (Uwe) Hoehndorf of Germany, and Stacy (Jim) Anderson of Williamston. Also surviving are seven grandchildren: Susi (Joe) Cox, Joie Collier, Jessie (Mike) Hersey, Kelli (Sean Bostrum) Farhat, Samantha (Adam Cody) Anderson, Arty Gonzales, and PFC Tim Anderson. Seven great grandchildren also survive: Michael, Renae, Joey, Lyla, Molli, Tyler and Wesley.
A funeral service will be held Thursday, June 14, at 4 p.m. at the Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, Williamston Chapel, Williamston, MI with Pastor David Voss of Memorial Lutheran Church officiating. Visitation will be from 3 – 4 p.m. prior to the service. Contributions made be made to Memorial Lutheran Church, 1022 W. Grand River Ave., Williamston, MI 48895 or the E. O. D.
