On Monday, May 9, 2022, Ronald Edward Molotky passed away peacefully in his sleep at the age of 86 at Wellbridge in Pinckney, Michigan. Ron was born in Detroit, Michigan, on November 30, 1935, to Edward and Martha Molotky. While serving in the United States Army at Fort Knox, Kentucky, he met the love of his life, Harriet Louise Hartman. They were married on February 20, 1960. In 1961, he became a public safety officer in Dearborn, Michigan, and then moved on to the Warren Police Department, from which he retired as sergeant in 1989. Ron is survived by his wife, Harriet, and their four children, Diana Lynn (Eugene Biondo), Mark Edward (Shelli Nelson), Kelley Maria (Clem Allison) and Leigh Ann (Ian Morley). Their ten grandchildren are Nathanael Serra, Rebecca McCracken, Vincent Biondo, Jennifer Reddick, Brittany Biondo, Melanie Molotky, Emily Allison, Evan Molotky, Eric Molotky and Ava Morley. Also, their eight great-grandchildren include Lucas, Emery, Paul, Evelyn, Riley, Olivia, Rowan and Owen. Ron was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing and snowmobiling. He adored all of his children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Ron was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Martha, his brother Ralph and his sister Karen (Gerhard). A celebration of his life will be held on Sunday, May 29, 2022, from 1 to 4 p.m. (2 p.m. eulogy) at his daughter Kelley’s home at 2957 Painted Drive, Howell, MI 48843.
