

Earl Carlton “Jack” Williamson, 83, died Sunday, May 3, 2015. The funeral service will be held Wednesday at 11:00 AM at Biggs Funeral Home Chapel with Rev Gary Bailey and Rev Candace Worth officiating; burial will follow at the Cherry family cemetery.
Jack was born in Wilson County on April 26, 1932, son of the late Luther Earl and Ada Taylor Williamson. He was a farmer all of his life and a veteran of the United States Navy serving in the Korean War. He was a member of the Bear Grass Fire Department, the Bear Grass Presbyterian Church, the Bear Grass Ruritan Club and a scout master for several years.
He was preceded in death by his parents and step mother Martha Bass Williamson.
He is survived by his wife Dorothy Cherry Williamson of 62 years, daughters Lucinda Williamson Roebuck and husband Levy Jr and Pamela Williamson King and husband Richard, Grandchildren Lee Roebuck and wife Nikki Briley, Leslie Roebuck Lilley and husband Brian James, Gabriel King and wife Jennifer, and Jenny Elizabeth King, great grandchildren Courtney Lee Roebuck, Taylor Styons Lilley, Emily Renee Lilley, Peyton Lee Roebuck, Hunter Roebuck, and Cooper Lee Littegan, sisters Peggy Williamson Davis, Sylvia Williamston, Annette Williamson Sutton, Robin Williamson Hayes, and Kim Williamson Prince. Brothers Jimmy Williamson, Ronnie Williamson, Donnie Williamson, William Williamson, and Timmy Williamson.
The family will receive friends Tuesday from 6:30-8:30 PM at Biggs Funeral Home and other times at the residence 5689 Bear Grass Road.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Bear Grass Fire Department and Bear Grass Ruritan Club.
