Ernest Holland Godard

Mr. Ernest Holland Godard, 81, went to be with his Lord on Sunday, June 12, 2016. Mr. Godard was a Martin County native born here on October 12, 1934. His parents were George Cornelius and Jenny Magnolia Godard. He was a business co-owner and a 30 year retiree of the North Carolina National Guard. He was also a great Duke University sports fan.

Funeral services will be Wednesday June 15, 2016, at Biggs Funeral Home in Williamston,N.C. at 11:00 A.M. Burial will follow at Martin Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Tuesday night from 6:00 – 7:30 P.M. at Biggs Funeral Home and other times at 200 Santree Drive E-4., Williamston,N.C.

Mr. Godard is survived by a daughter Christy Richards and husband Steve of Williamston; great-grand son Jaylen Holley; grand- daughter Ashley Richards; grand-daughter Jessica Negri and fiancé Billy Satterfield; and great-granddaughter Freya Satterfield; a son Brent Godard and wife Petra of Tennessee and a sister Dolly Vopelak of Williamston.

He was preceded in death by his parents, 4 brothers, and 1 sister.
