Hilda Leggette Lee

Hilda Leggette Lee, 88, died Thursday, November 22, 2012 at Martin General Hospital. The funeral service will be held Saturday at 2:00 PM at the West End Baptist Church with Rev Mike Meshaw officiating; burial will follow at Robersonville Cemetery.

Hilda Coburn Leggett was born in Pitt Count on December 17, 1923 to Javin Dillion and Mamie Coburn Leggett.

She was married to George Wilford Lee on June 22, 1941 and they had over 50 years together before Wilford went to meet the Lord in 1992.She has been a member of West End Baptist Church over 60 years ago, but accepted Christ in her life at age 12.

She was the church historian for many years and active in other areas.

She is survived by 3 children James Russell Lee who is married to Camellia Ange Lee of Plymouth NC, Cherry Lee Brown of Rienzi MS and Audrey E Lee of Greenville NC, children Rebecca Carol Lee and Thomas Dean Lee have met her again in heaven. She has 1 living sister Francis L Anastasia of Atlantic Beach and a special sister Peggy Jones.

She was also preceded in death by 12 brothers and sisters that have gone before her.

Joseph Leggett, Ann Judge ,Katie Leggett, Margaret L Rawls, Louise Smith, Mamie Stokes, J. C. Leggett, Javin D Leggett Jr. , Luther Leggett, Harvey Leggett, Dallas Leggett, and Lewis Leggett.

The family will receive friends Saturday from 1:00-2:00 PM at the West End Baptist Church.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to any children’s home in North Carolina
