John Connell Jr

John Connell, Jr. 79, died Monday November 5, 2012 at his home. The funeral service will be held Thursday at 11:00 AM at Biggs Funeral Home Chapel with Rev Raymond Hyler officiating; burial will follow at Jamesville Cemetery.

John was born in Martin County on December 18, 1932. He was the son of the late John Henry and Lilly Bullock Connell. He was a retired truck driver. On July 7, 2000 he married Marie Hassell Connell who survives.

Survivors in addition to his wife are daughters Joyce Connell of Windsor, Kathy Yaeger of Grantsboro, Louise Wobbleton of Jamesville and Pam Phelps of Creswell, sons J. M. Connell of Jamesville, and Michael Connell of Everetts, brother William Connell of Jamesville and a sister Lula Harris of Williamston, step daughters Cindy Kelly of Chocowinity and Sheri Barber of Jamesville, step sons Clifton Oakley of Henderson and Jonathan Oakley of Japan, 9 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, 10 step grandchildren, and 14 step great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends Wednesday from 7-8:30 PM at Biggs Funeral Home and other times at the residence 1068 Mill Neck Rd Williamston NC
