John Paul Jones Jr died Monday February 18, 2013 at the VA Hospital in Durham. The funeral service will be held Thursday at 2:00 PM at Biggs Funeral Home Chapel with Rev Billy Cashwell & Rev Jim Cox officiating; burial will follow at Martin Memorial Gardens.
Paul Jones was born in Bertie County son of the late John Paul and Arrie Byrum Jones. He was a self-employed truck driver and a veteran of the US Navy. On July 4, 1958 he married Ruth Barber Jones who preceded him in death on November 24, 2011.
He is survived by daughters Tammy Cratt & husband Garland of Williamston and Pam Lee and husband Ray of Dunn, grandchildren John Cratt, Harley Cratt, and Landon Lee.
The family will receive friends tonight from 7-8:30 PM at Biggs Funeral home and other times at the residence 2732 McCaskey Road.
