Ruth Jackson Biggs

Ruth Jackson Biggs, 84, died Monday January 9, 2012 at River Trace Nursing and Retirement Center in Washington. The funeral service will be held Thursday at 2:00 PM at Biggs Funeral Home Chapel with Rev Karen Kelly and Rev Doug Stokes officiating; burial will follow at Martin Memorial Gardens.

Mrs Biggs was the daughter of the late Alexander and Willie Mandy Keel Jackson. She was retired from the Big Star grocery store where she worked as a meat wrapper. She was a member of the First Christian Church.

On December 12, 1945 she married Dallas Biggs who preceded her in death on November 29, 1981. A sister Elsie Jackson and brothers Jr Jackson, Ollie Jackson, Edwin Jackson, Baby Boy Jackson, Peel Jackson and Charles Jackson also preceded her in death.

Survivors are daughters Sandra Pierce and husband Randy of Jamesville, and Donna Clark and husband Bobby of Williamston, a sister Frances Mc McClendon of Chesapeake VA, grandchildren John Michael Pierce, Ken Pierce, Thomas Pierce, Amanda Pearce, Amy Williams and Scotty Clark, great grandchildren Michael Pierce Jr, Taylor Pierce, Lauren Pierce, James Pierce, Josh Pierce, Jackson Pierce, Brandon Clark, Caitlyn Williams, Autumn Clark and Ethan Clark.

The family will receive friends Wednesday from 7-8:30 PM at Biggs Funeral Home and other times at 1730 Poplar Chapel Road in Jamesville NC.
