Just learned about Mrs Riordan passing.

Mrs. Riordan is the best science teacher I have ever had, her enthusiasm, knowledge, and kindness was incredible. Rior, you're the reason I decided to go to school for science. "I love you more than a fat kid loves cake."

I was out of town when I heard of Angela's passing.  I wish to extend my condolences to her husband, children and family.  Angela will be missed for so many reasons.  I knew Angela from Chemshare and we always looked forward to hearing of her innovative ideas for the classroom.  She would often kindly take the time to ask about which running races I would be doing or training for or how my children were doing.  Angela will be remembered for her inspirational passion for teaching and her limitless energy.

My deepest sympathies to Angela's family.  I was blessed to have attended Sacred Heart with Angela. She was one of those rare people whose intellect was only exceeded by her kindness and sense of humor. She was a wonderful person and though I am saddened by all that she had suffered, I am glad to to know that her memory will be treasured by all who ever met her.

Mrs Riordan was one of my teachers at Sacred Heart back in the early 80s. She was always very kind and caring. I feel very fortunate that she was able to bless my life so many years ago. Sending my condolences, Sue McCormick Austin

Dan, I was so sorry to hear of Angela's passing. You always spoke fondly of her as we traveled together and it was obvious that she was the love of your life. Please know that I will be with you in spirit as you travel the road of grief as I have walked in those shoes as well. I was a chemistry colleague of Angela's through the WNY Chemshare program.  She was such a wonderful addition to our group--smart, creative, kind, witty and just a delightful person to know.  I now live in Arizona, having retired almost 11 years ago.  My sister informed me of her death.  My heart goes out to her entire family.  I know she will be missed by all.

Dan, my sincere condolences to you and your family.  I met Angela one time in my office when she came to Novi.  She was a very kind person.  You and your entire family are in the Curl's prayers and I am very sorry, I could not make it up there.

As a colleague, I met Angela through ChemShare and immediately found her to be engaging, delightful and an inspiration to the teaching profession. My sincerest and deepest condolences. She will be missed.

Words cannot adequately convey my deep sadness at Angela's untimely passing and your unfathomable loss. I have many fond memories of our youthful days growing up together on Ivyhurst.  I am inspired by her many personal accomplishments but, most of all, by her personal courage in the face of life's adversity and her passionate generosity for others: in the love she gave all of you and her "second family", her students at Sacred Heart and Clarence High. I am truly sorry to hear about Angela.  I will not be able to see you and the families but please accept my sincere condolences.

I knew Angela as an amazing chemistry teacher and colleague .  She was truly dedicated and passionate about her profession.  She had a confidance and grace about her that I always admired.  She will be truly missed.

Thank you Mrs Riordan for helping me understand science.  Thank you for sharing your love of SHA and love of learning. Mrs. Riordan was my science teacher at Sacred Heart from 1982-86. She was such an amazing teacher and wonderful person. She made science fun! I am shocked and saddened to learn of her passing. Prayers to her family. She will be truly missed.

I never liked Science until I found myself in Mrs. Riordan's class. That says a lot considering I didn't end up in her class until Junior year in High School. I never thought I was any good at science until she inspired me. I fought her tooth and nail even, but she must have saw something in me that others didn't. She never gave up on me; like most of my teachers inevitably did. It is with regret that I never had the oppertunity to tell her, but she inspired me to devote my life to studying food and wine science. Thank you Mrs. Riordan for not giving up on me, and showing me that I too had something to offer in the intimidating science world.

I didn't know Angela, but as her daughter Katie's pastor, I know she must have been a great woman to have raised such a great daughter.  Our prayers are with you all from down here in Texas.  I am so sorry for your loss.

Her passion and enthusiasm for education was an inspiration to me. I learned so much from her and will be forever grateful for her guidance and support. She was a beautiful soul.

I never liked science and was very nervous that I wouldn't pass chemistry junior year. Mrs. Riordan spent countless hours helping me outside of class, before, and after school. Her dedication and passion to her students was part of the reason I went into teaching myself. She wrote the kindest, most heartfelt letter of recommendation for me and I will always be greatful to have been able to call her my teacher and a role model. (And she somehow helped me to get an 84 on the chemistry regents!) My thoughts and prayers go out to her family. She truly was one of a kind, and will be missed by many.

Angela was my classmate and friend at SHA. I can still hear her laugh. She made a huge difference in my life. Without her enthusiastic assault on subjects like chemistry and physics, I might have fallen by the wayside. I made it all the way to being a veterinarian because she held my hand in the beginning. God Blessed us with her and now takes her back.

Angela was a favorite cousin of mine and though we lost touch over the years, I have so many great memories of time I spent as a child with her in Buffalo. Mrs. Riordan had an incredible influence on me. She taught me the impact a teacher can have on a student. The enthusiasm and passion she brought to the classroom has inspired me to become a science teacher myself. She not only left a lasting impact on me but I know she touched many others as well. Im sorry I never got to meet your mother but I know she was an amazing woman because she produced you, Katie. Love and hugs!

I was a SHA freshman when Mrs. Riordan heard another teacher yelling at me (to the point of tears) in the foyer one afternoon and came to my rescue.   I've never forgotten it...I wasn't even a student of hers but she took care of me anyways. She instantly became a role model of the kind of woman I wanted to be: brave, compassionate, and articulate as heck! I don't remember a single chemical equation but will always remember the exceptional life lesson Mrs. Riordan taught me that day. So sorry for the loss of this amazing human being. We were all fortunate to know her.

I have the fondest memories working with her at CHS. But even more, the impact she made in my 3 children's lives will never be forgotten. Not only was she their Chemistry teacher, she was their biggest cheerleader. She always instilled confidence to try their best and made an indelible impression in their hearts.
