A poem "My mother, My wife, My friend "

On behalf of the entire family
 
We have so many words we want to say,  
More than we spoke to you the other day.  
Our hearts are broken, our eyes filled with tears, 
To God we are grateful we had you for so many years.  
 
You taught us, oh, so many things, 
To love, to laugh, and to enjoy what life brings.  
You were always there for us any time of day, 
With just the right, compassionate words to say.  
 
You were giving of your time, talents and creativity, 
To Family, Friends, Quota and St. Ann's Sodality.  
Helping arrange and wrap baskets till almost the end, 
For Quota's and St. Ann's fashion shows you would attend.  
 
You went without as so many mothers do, 
So we, your children, could have something new. 
You never wavered in your faith,
God gave you so many positive traits.  
 
With Christian values you lived your life, 
The closest thing to a saint as a wife.  
Looking your best, dressed in the latest fashions, 
You said words don't speak as loud as actions.  
 
You always told us to say a prayer or two, 
To the Sacred Heart , St. Ann or even St Jude.
 Patience is a virtue you would often say, 
But it was so hard for us to be that way.  
 
Holidays and birthdays, you had a special treat,  
Your famous potato salad and a homemade sweet.  
We will always remember your beautiful, smiling face,
 And long for your welcoming embrace.  
 
You left your grandkids with so many memories, 
Baking cookies, playing cards such as Michigan Rummy,  
Watching them after school and sharing a donut or two,  
Teaching them to read  don't give up, just continue.  
 
You made our world a much better place 
Of hope, love, strength, and lasting grace. 
Now we walk in quiet solitude, 
Trying to keep your positive attitude. 
 
For God has taken you to be by his side. 
Now in Heaven is where you reside.  
Your heart may have been weak, but you were strong. 
Your love and kisses we will always long. 
 
And during your last ten days we laughed, we cried;  
Not wanting to say goodbye or leave your side. 
Hand in hand we prayed for you, 
Because we knew that is what you would do. 
 
A soft sigh, you breathed your last breath, 
A Rosary in your hand at the time of your death. 
We loved you with all our heart. 
We always have, right from the start.  
 
Yellow roses you carried on your wedding day,  
Yellow roses near your cremains today.  
Remembering you is easy, we do it every day. 
But missing you is heartache that won't go away.  
 
And in our sad hearts, we have a special place  
To hold all our memories that we embrace.  
Your death for us is so hard to comprehend, 
A gracious lady to the end   
 
My mother, my wife, my friend.

Carolyn and Family, I am very sorry for your loss. I met her only once, she was adorable and I had a great time with your Family. She will be remembered forever. With love, Paulo.

Bud and family we are so sorry for your loss. We have many fond memories of you both. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all.

Please accept my sympathies during this difficult time. Bernie was a FABULOUS woman... I enjoyed knowing her over the years and she was a wonderful friend to my Mom, Ruth Schlosser. She touched many lives and will be deeply missed. May God, friends and family help keep the many fond memories alive and put a smile on your heart.

Dear Bud, Please accept my condolences for the loss of your beloved Bernice. It was a great honor and pleasure to have been physician to both of you.
I have many wonderful memories of our visits.
