Donanne Siegfried Coovert (“Nonnie”) of Amherst, NY, passed away on December 18, 2025. Daughter of the late C. Donald and Dorothy (Hooper) Seymour, she was the beloved wife of the late Donald L. Coovert and the late Eric S. Siegfried. Nonnie was a cherished mother to Carol (David) Geyer of Hebron, CT, Heidi (Dale) Neuburger of Indianapolis, IN, Amy (Michael) Quinn of Issaquah, WA, and Barbara (John) Tschamler of Pendleton, NY; a dear stepmother to Katherine (Coovert) Oddi, and the late David and Christopher Coovert; loving sister to Marcia (Seymour) Hanson Dean and the late Donald H. Seymour. She is also survived by nine grandchildren and twenty great-grandchildren.
Born in Albany, NY, Nonnie graduated from Amherst Central High School in the Class of 1947 and received her degree from the University of Rochester. She married her high school sweetheart, Eric S. Siegfried, and devoted herself to raising her four daughters and to volunteer activities, including service with the Women’s Board of the Buffalo Zoo, the Junior League, and Millard Fillmore Suburban Hospital.
Nonnie was an avid golfer. She was a past member of The Park Country Club, The Country Club of Buffalo, The Buffalo Club, and The Garrett Club. After Eric’s passing in January 2000, Nonnie married Donald Coovert on December 29, 2001. Together, they enjoyed winters at The Quail Ridge community in Boynton Beach, FL, and summers in Williamsville, NY.
Following Don’s passing, Nonnie moved to Asbury Pointe in Getzville, NY, where she found joy in friendships both old and new.
Her family extends heartfelt thanks to the caring team at Heathwood Assisted Living and Memory Care and the supportive services of Hospice Buffalo for the loving care and assistance she received during the past year.
A Celebration of Life will be scheduled at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Donanne Coovert’s memory to Hospice Buffalo. Online condolences and service updates are available at http://www.denglerrobertspernawilliamsville.com
