Dearest family of Edward:  Our deepest sympathy to all of you.  Edward was a very special man among men.  While I have not ever met you Edward, I will certainly miss you.  I worked with your brother-in-law (Dick) for several decades and we grew to be good professional friends.  For your family and friends, please know that this gentle and knowledgeable Edward was a man who has made such positive influence for the many good things to be found in nature.  He did this  through his shared thoughts on the outdoors and fishing with his family, and passing on his loving influence for wildlife, flora, fauna, environment, people, and the natural outdoors.  I can share this thought because my wife and I know his daughter, Megan, and her amazing family, little Andrew and Brandon.  Megan never ceases to amaze so many of us in the world of the New York State outdoors, with her simple manner of always finding that silver lining.  Hundreds and thousands of people are learning about nature because of Megan, and because of your early outdoor credo with your family.  These folks might have never discovered the fun of the country-side today  these are tough modern times of hand-held distraction, without your early affirmative influence - the roots of that influence came from the walls of your home and the childhood values of bringing up your children to know the outdoors.  You led them and allowed them to meet the outdoors in the manner of your coaching and teaching.  On behalf of all of them, thank you for taking the time!  So even though many of us have never met you, we will all miss you.  .  We send our prayers and heartfelt condolences to your family.  God Bless you all.

Eddie was a pleasure to work with at the Williamsville Grounds Department. I will always have great memories of my days directly working with him. I will never forget him. I am so sorry for your loss. May God Bless the entire Green family.

I knew Ed through the Senior Center.  He was my frequent and favorite Meals on Wheels partner.  Among our talking topic were family, pets, gardening and pizza.  When we ran into each other in the hall, he always greeted me with a smile and a quick chat about our classes there as we did this past Tuesday.  I was shocked and very sad when told of his passing.  He will be greatly missed.

Dear Meg,
I know of no kinder, more gentle man than your Dad. My heart is filled with such wonderful memories. I pray that you, your mom and the rest of your family will find comfort in all of your wonderful memories. Much love. My parents, siblings and I are all thinking of you. Xo

Ed will be sadly missed at all of the Recovery International meetings that he attended over the years. I have known Ed for many years and he gladly contributed his Recovery knowledge to help the other members. I always thought he was a kind and gentle man.
