Our beautiful Eva, Born July 16, 1931, went on to her Eternal Home with God on June 29, 2024. Her strong faith in God was woven throughout her life. Eva grew up on Buffalo’s West Side with her parents, Bennie and Josephine and her two brothers, Phil and Lou and her three sisters, Tina, Carmela and MaryAnn. Their home always smelled of something delicious on the stove. She continued that tradition with the help of Paul until her last months. Eva was happily married to her sweetheart Frank, for nearly 50 years. They had four children: Manny (June), Lorraine (Rich), Frank (Mary) and Paul, who lovingly cared for her. She was blessed with her grandchildren: Brett, Katie, Gianna and Olivia. She was dearly loved by all who knew her, including sister-and brother-in laws, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Eva enjoyed traveling with her young family with their trailer and later on Eva and Frank traveled near and far with friends or other family. While she enjoyed the beautiful scenery, the best part of travel was visiting or being with people she loved. Her favorite annual trip was relaxing at the cottage on Lake Erie with sunsets, good food and wonderful people.
Eva volunteered for numerous organizations. She saw it as a privilege; never as an obligation. She had a gift for recognizing when others were in need, including those who may have been forgotten. She was a longtime member of St. Benedict’s and their Rosary Altar Society. Her acts of love and kindness were immeasurable, but her God saw them all. Eva inspired all who knew her with her love unique humor, and generosity. She would want us to continue to love each other, enjoy the gifts each day, eat good food, and not take ourselves too seriously (you meatball).
