McGowan, Joann L. (nee Lorence) of Amherst passed on May 23, 2026, at the age of 90. Beloved wife of the late Addison McGowan; dear mother of James (Amanda), William (Patti) McGowan and Patricia (Adam) Winston; cherished grandmother of Shayne, Jack, Bobby, Bailey and Sophie. Family will be present to receive friends from 10-11AM followed by a Memorial Service on Monday, June 29 at St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church, 68 Eagle St, Williamsville, NY 14221. Mrs. McGowan was a long time dedicated member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church participating in the choir and handbell ensemble.
