II am very sorry to hear about the loss of Dr. Bhayana and send my sympathy to his family.  My family and I appreciate his excellent surgical skill in treating my father several years ago.  We will always be grateful for the compassion and care he showed for my father.

Dear Dr Ranjan,
We are very sorry to learn about this sad news.I was your patient when I lived in Buffalo.Prior to that your father did my CABG SURGERY IN 1996.We moved to Michigan in 2007.
My current Doctors at Univ of Michigan were asking me who did my wonderful surgery.Your father will always be remembered as a talented surgeon & a kind man.

I am so sorry for your loss, Dr. Bhayana was the most caring and compassionate doctor.He took care of my Dad back in 1981 and we knew he was the best doctor in Buffalo. I will always remember looking at his hands thinking his skill in heart surgery would be saving lives. He was a wonderful man who will be missed.

I am very sorry to hear about the sad news about your father. I never had the good fortune of meeting and interacting with him. I am happy to have met you in the Buffalo General three years ago when you came over to check on me when I was recovering from the "head-complaint". Please accept my heart-felt condolences for you and your family.  May your father's soul rest in peace.

My thoughts and prayers are with Dr. Ranjan Bhayana and his entire family durning this time of sadness. Your father truly was an amazing doctor with who's help in 1983 along with Dr. Raza gave my father 10 more years of wonderful life to live with my family. My father and your uncle were roommates in Buffalo General while awaiting their open heart surgeries and we had the pleasure of knowing your father as not just the wonderful doctor he was but saw the family side of him as well. He had such a kind soul and has passed that along to his children as well. 

Dr. Ranjan Bhayana was my mothers doctor until she passed in 2015 and she always said he was such a compasionate and caring doctor and man just like his father. 

God's blessings to you and your entire family and know Dr. Bhayana is resting in paradise with your Mom.

Dear Bhayana Family,

I feel very lucky to have meet Dr. Bhayana and to have been able to spend some time with him over these last few years.  I was very sad to hear about him getting sick.  I realize how hard it must have been for all of you and for other people who where close to him.  Even though I wish he were still here with us, it brings me peace to know that he is resting now.  When Brittney told me that he passed 365 days to the hour from Mrs. Bhayana, it really did make me feel a little better. It couldn't be a coincidence! 

I am very fond of my memories of Dr. Bhayana.  He was always extremely sweet to me.  Both of my grandfathers passed away years ago, so it was very nice to have a grandfather figure around, especially during Thanksgiving.   I could see how much he loved spending time with his family and how much he enjoyed those speeches! 

Here are a few memories I will never forget:

1-The time when a few of us were sitting at the table and your grandmother asked for a spoon, but no one could quite hear her and she kept asking for it until Dr. Bhayana screamed SPOON! It was really funny! Please have Brittney tell the story.  Mrs. Bhayana definitely got her spoon.  

2-The time when I was talking to Dr. Bhayana about movies and he said that he liked the one with the girl on the hill.  I had no idea what he was talking about, but Priya totally got it. It was the Sound of Music!

3-Dr. Bhayana's 80th birthday party.  It was a blast!  His Gangnam Style dance moves were great. He had such style!  I remember thinking that I wish one day I could be that cool! 

I can only imagine how much you will miss him.  He was such a huge part of your lives and influenced them in so many ways.  I know that you know this, but I could really tell how truly proud he was of all of you and how much he loved you.   I will miss him and am so happy to have met him.  I will be thinking a lot about all of you.

Doctor Bhayana was a kind and loving physician !! He was such an expertise at what he did. . I loved working with him and seeing his smile when he would round on his patients. Prayers to his beloved family.

My condolences to Dr. Bhayana's family.  It is because of him that my father was able to enjoy 24 additional years of health following quadruple bypass surgery by this great surgeon back in 1983.  He helped so many.  We have never forgotten him and never will.

We send sincere condolences to the family of Dr. Bhayana.  This dedicated man performed my heart surgery 20 years ago.  His compassion, guidance and excellence as a surgeon saved my life and I am forever grateful.  He will always be remembered as a great man.

Dr. Bhayana taught all of us many things in life. He was a friend, a mentor, providing a kind word and perspective. He brought heart transplantation to Buffalo in the 1980. He founded a hospital in India which I was privileged to see with him on the 25th anniversary of its founding. To Ranjan and Rohit and all your family: my thoughts are with you.

I was very fortunate to have worked with Dr. Bhayana during my training and the early part of my career. He was one of the most skilled surgeons that I have been fortunate to work with. My condolences to Ranjan and the family.

I am saddened to hear of Dr. Bhayana's passing. As an OR nurse at BGH, I considered him one of the "Pillars" of Cardiac Surgery in WNY, along with his colleague Dr. George Schimert. My condolences to his Family and friends.

To the Bhayana family my deepest sympathies. I was honored to have train under him and then work with him as a partner in the practice of heart surgery at the Buffalo General Hospital. He taught me more than heart surgery. He taught me how to be a better person. Dr. Bhayana brought many new and innovative things in heart surgery to Buffalo, including heart transplantation. But in spite of his success he always remained a humble man and one could always count on his friendship. I will miss him.

I worked with Dr. B. at Buffalo General for several years as an OR nurse and an RN First Assistant. He was kind, patient, and one of the best surgeons I have ever seen. My condolences to the Bhayana family.  I did know Dr. Bhayana for over 30 years.  He was the 13th in the nation to perform a heart transplant.  He was always very kind and caring. He will always be remembered by my entire family.

It was my great pleasure to work closely with Dr.Jogi Bhayana for many years at the Buffalo General Hospital. He set a high standard on how to work with grace under very stressful circumstances. No matter how urgent the situation, Jogi was a calmly compassionate and an extremely accomplished cardiac surgeon. I will always cherish my memories of him and the wonderful care that he gave to his many grateful patients.

I am deeply saddened to learn of Dr. Bhayana's passing. He was an extraordinary cardiac surgeon and one of the most caring and compassionate persons I have ever known. I shall never forget all the wonderful conversations we had during my time at Buffalo General Hospital in the 1990s. So sorry to hear of your father's passing. My mother (Isabel Schmidt) was a patient of his before his retirement and spoke highly of his compassionate care. I will keep all of you in my prayers.
