A Final Goodbye, Daddy

Daddy,

It’s time for me to grieve you and carry you in my heart forever.
I feel you beside me seeing through my eyes, sharing my thoughts.
Don’t be a silent passenger; I need your voice, your wisdom.

Without you here, everything changes.
Who will I turn to with my questions?
You were my strength, my laughter, my joy.
You made me smile and cry  and I wouldn’t trade a moment.

My heart wants to sing your name,
though the tears fill my lungs.
You can live in me         
no limits, no distance.
Tell me where you want to go; I’ll take you there.
Tell me what you want to eat; I’ll make it for us.

My heart is big enough for both of us,
safe and bound by love.
The road ahead will be long
but every beat of my heart carries you forward, always.

I have many many fond memories at "The Fanara Compound " on Heritage..too many to mention but,  I always remember how great that pool looked , not to mention the house! Mr Fanara was a very cool guy, always nice to all of us when we came over to visit.

Our sincere condolences and heartfelt prayers to the entire Fanara family. We will remember the the good times of seeing your father at the local car shows, and throughout the years of visiting your family. We always had  great conversations, laughs as he was always smiling.  He will be greatly missed but remembered  in our hearts.

Uncle joe you were a great man. Your love for your family was truly awesome. You were a great uncle and godfather to me. I had the benefit of learning some things in business from you. I had the opportunity to have to great hardworking family men show me the meaning of working and supporting your family and showing me some trades. My heart goes out to my sweet and beautiful aunt and my cousins. I love you all

Words are unable to express how deeply sorry I am for your loss. We had such great memories and I know each of you will cherish every one of those moments as they now become the path to guide you everyday. May God Bless your family.

I have only 2000 characters to say something about my Uncle Joe who was like a 2nd father to me growing up. My cousin Tommy was more than a cousin. He was my  older brother,  and best friend. It is because of him that i started bodybuilding, and never stopped. I spent my entire childhood wanting to be like him, who in turn, he wanted to be like his Dad. I didn't just visit there from time to time.  I was ALWAYS there. And for a time period I lived there when my mother had back surgery and Dad worked 2nd shift. Uncle Joe truely was like a 2nd father. From things like showing me how to wash and wax a car, the importance of an extensive video collection, hillarious sarcasm, putting garlic salt on pizza, learning to go to the bathroom next to his bedroom without making a sound after a dried flower incident I won't get into, and being the only man I kissed for almost 54 years after being grabbed when I started high school and reminded I was never too old to kiss my Uncle and show respect. And that's something I absolutely had for him. I was lucky that our families were so close. Tommy was my older brother, and Dina and Michelle my only sisters. I was lucky to see my Aunt Joann love him SO much, and crack up at his sarcasm and sense of humor. She would literally run for him. Something not many women understand today, but a strong confident woman CHOOSES to let her man be her king and thats exactly what she did. As he affectionately called her "Bruce" which made her giggle everytime. Again maybe not all women today understand that,  yet those same women aren't constantly posting how much they love their husband online after so many years together.  My heart breaks for my Aunt and cousins and its a pain ive had since my mother passed so, my only advice is keep memories alive by sharing them. I certainly have many that ive been sharing with my kids so they understand how important my Uncle was to me, but also how he impacted my life. Love you all, and miss you Uncle Joe 🙏🏼
