Judy, daughter of the late Clarence and Rose Henkel, loving wife of the late John Schiffert, died after a sudden illness in Williamsville, NY. She is survived by Heidi Schiffert Rotella and Hans Gregory Schiffert. She attended Neumann High School, graduated as a registered nurse from D’Youville College in 1963 and attained her Masters in Clinical Nurse Specialist in 1972. Judy worked as a Registered Nurse at Deaconess Hospital in the ICU when she began her lifelong journey of caring for others. Judy’s caring did not stop with her career. Like her interest in gardening, she nurtured her relationships with friends and family throughout her life. An avid reader, Judy would often share books with friends that she thought they would like or be interested in, as well as helping friends and family understand medical concerns or advocate on their behalf.
She will be missed by the many whose lives she touched in ways both big and small.
