Kathy was the beloved wife of Kenneth Killian for 52 years. She was mommy dearest to Amber (Chuck) and Jennifer (Greg) and loving Meema to Jacob Killian, Brady, and Madelyn Root.
Kathy was born in Detroit, Michigan. She grew up in Prudenville, (Houghton Lake) Michigan. She graduated from Houghton Lake High school (Go Bobcats!) in 1963 and Western Michigan University (Go Broncos!) with a BA in 1967. She was a member of Job’s daughters growing up. She worked as a social worker in Michigan, Texas and in NY, working with Erie County Adult Protective Services before she retired. She was a selfless, devoted care giver for her bother (Jimmy Doyle 2012) and her mother (Alice Doyle 2023) before their deaths. She loved QVC, Turners Classics, Motown music and anything that involved her grandchildren. She will be remembered for her great sense of humor and for the kindness she gave to everyone - her family, her friends, and her clients. Her grandchildren, sons-in-laws, and daughters (in that order) were the greatest joys of her life.
Burial services will be at St. Martin-in-the Fields Episcopal Church, 2587 Baseline Road, Grand Island, NY; Saturday, March 22, 2025 at 10:00 am.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice or St. Martins in the Fields Episcopal Church.
