

Louis V. Amico, of Orlando, FL, and formerly of Buffalo and Rochester, NY, entered into heavenly rest on March 20, 2021 at age 92. Beloved husband of the late Claire V. (nee Lanzalaco) Amico; dearest companion of Mayme Shatto; devoted father of Stephen (Joan) Amico and John (Susan) Amico; cherished grandfather of Isabella Amico; loving son of the late Nicholas and Eva (nee LaMonica) Amico; dear brother of Terry (George) Marcello; also survived by loving nieces and nephews.
Louis enlisted into the Army in the fall of 1946 and spent one and a half years in occupied Japan. He received the World War II Victory Medal and Army of Occupation Medal Japan. Louis attended Syracuse University as part of the GI Bill. He was captain of the baseball team and lettered in baseball for the season of 1950.
Louis was an Investment Advisor and retired from HSBC Bank in 1994.
Louis enjoyed many sports including fishing, golf and volleyball. He was a member of the BassMaster's Club and created the Bocce Ball Club at his retirement residence at Lake Griffon Harbor in Leesburg Florida.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated at St. Gregory the Great Church, 200 St. Gregory Ct., Williamsville, NY 14221, on Friday (March 26, 2021) at 10:30am. Mass can be livestreamed at www.stgregs.org.
Relatives and friends are also invited to attend a Committal Service with Military Honors at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, 2461 Lake Ave., Rochester, NY 14612, on Friday (March 26, 2021) at 2:30pm. Services will be held in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery's Christ Our Light Chapel.
In compliance with the public health guidelines during the Covid-19 pandemic, services will be monitored to limit gathering sizes based on the most current recommendations. Face masks required.
If desired, contributions in Louis's memory may be made to the National Kidney Foundation or the Veteran's Administration.
