Lou brought joy and laughter to members of our Hopeful Ways mission team and created many new friendships.

Lou joined the 2016 Hopeful Ways Eye Care Mission team to Nicaragua that provided 3000 needy people with free eye care services and eyeglasses. Lou took hundreds of photos and videos to create wonderful publicity videos for support Hopeful Ways fundraising efforts.

My fiancee and I were devastated to learn of Lou's passing last night. Someone referred him to me as a knowledgable electrician. Having gone through so many lousy hires, I figured that I'd give this guy a try. Lou came to our home and did outstanding work while keeping the house clean and charged a reasonable fee. However I don't take the time to write memories for random, good workers who have been in my house. 
We always looked forward to Lou's visits as we knew we were getting hours of entertainment in addition to a few new wall outlets. His quick wit, infectious laugh, and good natured spirit was contagious in our household. We found ourselves walking around looking for any excuse to get "Uncle Lou" to come back. 
Lou, I wish I could have taken you up on that beverage and thank you for partaking in my football pool. Reading all of these memories and seeing all these pictures confirms that you were every bit the person we thought you were. Our household looked forward to your return and we miss you.   

Dear Jen, Kaitlin, Jessie, Kara and Family,

We were so shocked and saddened to hear of your dads death.   Our sincere sympathy for your loss.

We lovingly think of your dad building your beautiful house on Darwin. He was always up early on the weekends sawing and hammering. At the block party that year … one of the men on the block (I wish I could remember who it was) said to your dad, “Lou, you’re giving all us men a bad name”.  So funny!  Your dad was a hard working family man who loved his daughters very much!

The Treasury of Masses at Our Lady of Victory will be said for your dad.  Please know of our sincere sympathy, our love and our prayers.

It didn't matter if we were golfing, boating, eating at Lou's or putting up molding at Ben and Jess's house, it was always fun. You will be missed, Lou.

Lou was a key contributor during the Hopeful Ways 2016 Eye Care Mission Trip. He created some great videos and photos that documented the mission work and the team. Everyone enjoy his company. He will be missed by everyone who he touched during his life. 

Lou was a wonderful man.  He was always so kind to our daughters, Casey and Coral Swan, when we saw him out or at the Variety Kids Telethons.  Our condolences to his family and friends.  Truly a huge loss for all who knew him.  He will be missed greatly. RIP Lou

So many great memories with Lou, Kim, Clare, Matt, and the girls at Farm Aid! I remember a year when Lou got a couple speeding tickets and stopped at my house after traveling back from either Kim’s or Farm Aid. I had some fake tickets and placed one on his car parked outside my house. He got up early to travel home and my sister and I giggled as we watched him pull the ticket, throw it in his backseat, and drive away. 

I had so many fun adventures with you. You are silly and kind. I love you so much!

We sure did have a lot of good times. I remember so many sweet days my big brother stuck up for me. What I now appreciate most is that Lou taught me to hold my own around the big boys. He knew that I would need those skills. I would take all those dunks again anytime. We will miss you dearly, brother.  Godspeed Angel Lou! XO. Your little sister.

I loved playing with Grandpa! He had a swing on the garage and a climber in the backyard. It was always a fun time with him.

It was a pleasure to know Lou even though it was for a short time. We served on the Board of Directors at the Riviera Theatre together.
Lou was a gentle and kind man and he certainly will be missed.

I was sad to hear my former colleague at Channel 7 passed away.  Although I hadn't seen Lou since I left the station in 1998, we had lots of fun times.  Working with him on shows like "AM Buffalo," "The Commander Tom Show" and "Bills Scoreboard with Steve Tasker" were memories I will never forget.  He was a super guy, fun to work with and a great professional.  My condolences to his family in this difficult time. 

Rest In Peace Lou. I enjoyed working with you during my time at Channel 7 from 2001 - 2006, working those morning gigs. I'll admit, was a little intimidated by your dry humor but once I got to know you, I came to recognize how nice a man you were, with a great sense of humor and wit. Prayers to your family, friends and loved ones. God Bless.
