My condolences to the friends and family. I had just learned that the school at St. Ann's burned today. Mrs. Papia was my 5th grade teacher there, she was a great teacher!

Mrs. Papia was a wonderful woman. She was an amazing person - the kind of teacher who was an outstanding influence and who loved each of her students very much. She was a favorite teacher, and memories from her classroom make me smile to this day. Thank you, Mrs. Papia, for being a light to so many students. You will be missed, but know your beautiful memory lives on. Sending thoughts and prayers to your family and friends.

I enjoyed so much working with Peggy and was honored to call her a friend.  She so loved her family and enjoyed spending time with them. I loved her stories about Florida and about all her children and grandchildren. She was a stunning woman both inside and out.
