Pauline E. Firestone of Williamsville, NY, a woman of grace, wisdom and charm, passed away peacefully at home on January 21, 2026, three weeks short of her 106th birthday.
Pauline was born and raised on her family’s farm in Medina, NY, and graduated from Buffalo State Teachers College in 1942.
After earning her degree, she became a home economics teacher at Barker and Lake Shore senior high schools, and later taught food services at the BOCES Harkness Center in Buffalo.
Pauline volunteered with World Hospitality and Meals on Wheels, and tutored students learning English as a second language. She was a sustaining member of the Forest Stream Garden Club and was a longtime member of North Presbyterian Church in Williamsville.
Pauline was the keeper of family history and heirlooms. She delighted visitors with stories of her upbringing on the Martin family farm, proudly displaying examples of intricate decorative details preserved from the original farmhouse.
She is remembered for her dry wit, generosity and gracious hospitality.
Pauline E. Firestone passed away on January 21, 2026, at the age of 105. Pauline was preceded in death by her devoted husband, Edward J. Firestone, three brothers, Warren Martin, Bruce (late Margaret) Martin and Charles (late Helen) Martin; and a grandson, Scott Firestone.
Pauline is survived by her son, Peter L. (Jane) Firestone, and daughter, Paula L. Firestone; a brother, Roland (late Alice) Martin; four grandchildren, Lisa (Chris) Keppner, Brian (Lisa) Firestone, Michelle (Ryan) Craven, and Peter (Luanne) Firestone; seven great grandchildren, Meredith (Adrian Rodriguez) Craven, Delaney and Spencer Keppner, Steller and Scotlyn Firestone, and Isaiah and Madelynn Firestone; and many nieces and nephews.
Friends are invited to a Memorial Service on Saturday, January 31 at 11 am at North Presbyterian Church (300 N. Forest Rd. Williamsville).
