Alice M. Berkman, 86, passed away peacefully from complications of dementia on Friday, December 30, 2022. Alice is survived by her loving and caring children, Harvey, Joel, and Traci (Steven) Smason, and her adored grandchildren, Jordan Smason (fiancé Michael Schroeder) and Eric Smason.
She is predeceased by the love of her life, her extraordinary husband Eugene Berkman; her parents, Louis and Sarah Margoles; her sister Phyllis Fershtman, and later in life her wonderful second husband, Al Weiner.
A funeral service for Alice will be held Tuesday, January 3, 2023, 12:00 PM at Weinstein & Piser Funeral Home. Interment to follow at Westlawn Cemetery, 7801 W Montrose Ave, Norridge, IL 60706. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Epilepsy Foundation, www.epilepsy.com.
